30th August 2024, New Delhi: Citroën India is thrilled to announce the delivery of India’s first mainstream ICE SUV Coupé- the Basalt to its first customer at the La Maison Citroën dealership in Delhi. This event marks a significant milestone in Citroën’s journey in India, reaffirming the brand’s commitment to bringing innovative and stylish vehicles tailored to the evolving needs of Indian consumers.

Theirry Koskas, Citroën Brand CEO graced the occasion and handed over the keys to the delighted customer, also present on the occasion were Shailesh Hazela, MD & CEO -Stellantis India and Shishir Mishra, Brand Head - Citroën India. The Basalt, India’s first mainstream ICE SUV Coupé has drawn widespread attention for its bold design, cutting-edge technology, and exceptional comfort, setting new benchmarks in its segment.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Thierry Koskas, Citroën Brand CEO, said, "Today is a landmark moment for Citroën in India as we deliver the very first Basalt to our esteemed customer in Delhi, giving Indian roads its first mainstream ICE SUV Coupé.
